Advances in cancer detection and treatment have progressed greatly throughout the past 40 years enabling more people to live longer lives. However, for survivors who had cancer before or during their reproductive years, infertility may be an unfortunate reality, as all of the standard therapies for cancer, including surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy can have a negative affect on fertility.

Mammosite®: Treatment for Early Stage Breast Cancer
Women diagnosed with breast cancer have a lot to consider regarding treatment options. Treatment plans vary based on the stage of cancer, the size of the tumor, a patient’s age, their current health condition and other considerations. If you have been diagnosed with an early-stage breast cancer (Stage 0, 1 or 2), with limited or no lymph node involvement, and a tumor size smaller than 3 cm (about the size of a walnut), you may be eligible to receive a newer treatment option called Mammosite®.
